Dez Calloway.
Drum & Bass, JungleBristol, UKRolling drum & bass and jungle, bass first.
// Biography
Dez Calloway grew up in St Pauls, Bristol, carrying speaker boxes for his uncle's soundsystem before he was tall enough to see over the mixer. He plays drum & bass the way that taught him: rolling, bass-first, with jungle breaks and dubplates folded in, and an MC only when the room asks for one.
He has been resident at Low Ceiling, a 400-capacity basement in the centre of Bristol, since 2022, and hosts Rolling Hours, a monthly two-hour show on community radio. His 2025 single "Ninety Second Rewind" on Cut & Rinse Recordings was in the bag of half the DJs at Overspill Weekender that summer.
On Tuesdays he teaches mixing to teenagers at a youth centre in Easton.
